An intensive exchange of information on the bicycle industry and mobility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SKS GERMANY<\/strong> welcomed ten members of “Unternehmen FahrRad!” to a two-day meeting on 16 and 17 September 2024. With its alliance of companies and associations, AGFS NRW offers a platform for the regular transfer of knowledge with relevant stakeholders from the bicycle industry. SKS GERMANY, recently awarded the gold “Bike-Friendly Employer” certificate, hosted this year’s meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It kicked off with a guided tour of the company premises, during which visitors were able to marvel at the “Made in Germany” production. The visitors then headed to the WOOHOO outdoor centre, which is part of the SKS Group. With a view of Lake Sorpesee, they exchanged information about current developments in the bicycle industry and had a lot of fun on the team adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A focus on bicycle tourism<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the second day, lectures on the Ruhr Valley Cycle Path and presentations by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia were on the agenda. The focus was on bicycle tourism in NRW as a driving force for the bicycle industry and sustainable mobility. The speakers presented strategic concepts for its further development and finally discussed how bicycle tourism will be able to support everyday cycling in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
